UCF to Have 25% Fan Capacity at the Bounce House

UCF will be playing football this season. They start their season in a little less than three weeks on the road against Georgia Tech followed by another road game the following week against East Carolina.

UCF's first home game comes October 3rd when they play host to Tulsa and it will come in front of fans, just not in a sold out fashion. AD Danny White announced Monday that the Bounce House will be at 25% capacity. Full capacity is 44,206.

White also mentioned the financial impact UCF is facing because of COVID-19:

Via UCFKnights.com:

• Projected $10-$14 million loss due to reduced number of football home games and limited stadium capacity

• Projected $2 million loss due to additional COVID-19-related expenses

He went on to mention how he plans to try and mitigate the projected losses for the upcoming season including a Keep Charging on Fund initiative, eliminating roughly $1.6 million with administrative and sport budgets, delaying construction projects, and adopting a hiring freeze for unfilled positions.

UCF currently has 4 games slated at the Bounce House for this season.
