"Tom Coughlin Set the Jaguars Back At Least 5 Years" - @BianchiWrites

Tom Coughlin was hired in January of 2017. Now in 2020, any trace of what Coughlin did in his 2+ plus seasons with the team has joined Tom out the door. Coughlin's first year was a dream that nobody saw coming as the Jags won the division for the first time since 1999 and hosted a playoff game for the first time since 2000 en route to reaching the AFC Championship game.

In less than three seasons, all the best players from that 2017 are now gone. Jalen Ramsey, Yannick Ngakoue, Calais Campbell, Leonard Fournette, and A.J. Bouye are all gone. Since 2016, there have been only two players selected in the top 5 who are no longer with their team and both belong to Jacksonville (Ramsey, Fournette).

Looking back, Coughlin drafted Fournette over guys like Deshaun Watson, Patrick Mahomes, Christian McCaffrey, Dalvin Cook and Alvin Kamara.

Bianchi explains that all of those moves have set the Jaguars back at least 5 years, "What a disaster his era was as the head of personnel for the Jaguars. He set the franchise back, I don't know how many years, from the Yannick Ngakoue, Jalen Ramsey, go down the list. Leonard Fournette. Tom Coughlin set the franchise back at least five years."
