Jaguars Continue to Clean House, Waive Leonard Fournette

Things started out great for Leonard Fournette in Jacksonville. His rookie season, he rushed for over 1,000 yards, scored 10 total touchdowns (nine rushing, one receiving), and was a key part of what helped the Jaguars nearly reach the Super Bowl.

Now Fournette, 25, is looking for a new home as the Jags are waiving the former first-round pick.

Things haven't gone so well for Fournette since his rookie season as he has battled injuries, got in a fight with Shaq Lawson when he was in Buffalo, and threatened to beat up a fan who he alleged used a racial slur.

Earlier this offseason, the Jaguars declined to pickup Fournette's fifth-year option.

In three years with the Jaguars, Fournette has rushed for 2,631 yards and 17 touchdowns while also catching 134 passes for 1,009 yards and two touchdowns receiving.

This move comes one day after the team traded Yannick Ngakoue to the Vikings for draft picks.
