Many people have complained about athletes bringing politics into the sports that they watch and essentially want the athletes to "shut up and dribble." People who watch sports claim that sports is their "escape" and that sports and politics should not mix.
Kravitz explains that, while sports to some degree is an escape, it really isn't.
Athletes are people. They are fathers, sons, brothers, sisters, daughters, and mothers first. They see what's going on in the world and to tell them to ignore that for your entertainment is not right. If you want a true escape, as Kravitz explains, watch fiction. Read a book. Don't rely on sports to be a true escape from the real world.
