UNC Shuts Down Campus Due to COVID Outbreak...Except for Football Team

177 people tested positive for COVID-19 on the University of North Carolina campus. That has forced UNC to switch to remote learning after only one week of students being on campus. Reports have said that students had engaged in close contact without masks at a couple of parties and that this was quickly getting out of hand as upwards of 330 students were in quarantine. Campus altering stuff, but you know what it didn't impact?

Football.

The North Carolina football team is remaining on campus with an unaltered schedule. Athletes' classes will be online. North Carolina said in a statement:

Our student-athletes will continue to attend online classes, and may choose to remain in their current on- and off-campus residences. Workouts and practices will continue under the standards set by our University, health officials and department. We still are expecting to play this fall, and we will continue to evaluate the situation in coordination with the University, the ACC, state and local officials, and health officials. The health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches and staff, and community remains our priority.

Do you see a problem with this?
