Tua Tagovailoa Ahead of Training Camp, "I'm Ready to Go"

Dolphins rookies report to training camp on July 27th. The team will have three first-round picks as part of that training camp with one of those being the fifth overall pick in April's draft, Tua Tagovailoa.

Tua, who dislocated his right hip and suffered a posterior wall fracture on November 16th, declared himself ready to go.

Getting back out on the field will be another matter. It’s been more than nine months since the Alabama training staff loaded him into a cart and his college career ended before it should have. The former Crimson Tide signal-caller has yet to take the field in a competitive setting since. The "itch," as he calls it, is waiting to be scratched.

"I’d say I’m ready to go," he said. "It’s kind of those things where you start getting the itch to get back out on the field, to be able to compete. It’s going to be a new setting, so that’s what’s even more exciting."

While Ryan Fitzpatrick is expected to be the team's starter week one, it will only be a matter of time before Tua takes over.
