Does Football's Return Hinge on the NBA's Success?

The NBA is currently bringing players and staff into the "Disney Bubble" as they prepare for what is bound to be one of the weirdest ends to a season ever. With the threat of the pandemic looming, it feels like if the bubble were to burst, we'd be all the way back to square one, a massive league shutdown and no return in sight.

If that were to happen, how would football react? Would it cause the NFL and college football to take a step back as they try to put together what could be an odd season for them? Or would they charge on and forge their own path regardless of the NBA's struggles?

It's an interesting thought because we've seen plenty of leagues start the reopening process. NASCAR, the PGA, UFC have all found ways to reopen safely, but those are not team sports the same way basketball or football are. That's why we pass the question off to you.
