Bubba Wallace Wants NASCAR to Ban Confederate Flags

Bubba Wallace is the first full time African American driver for NASCAR in decades on their Cup Circuit and during these weeks of protests, his voice has been amplified. Wallace wore an "I can't breathe" shirt this past weekend and will drive a Black Lives Matter car in the next race.

In an interview with CNN, Wallace talked about what other changes he would make to NASCAR, a sport marred by a racist history. "My next step would be to get rid of all Confederate flags. No one should feel uncomfortable when they come to a NASCAR race. So it starts with Confederate flags. Get them out of here. They have no place for them," he said in that interview.
