Gronk Out of Retirement and Headed to Tampa

The rumor has been picking up steam this offseason that Rob Gronkowski wants to play football again and play with Tom Brady. Right now the Patriots currently hold Gronk's rights and would either have to relinquish them or trade him. With the Bucs putting O.J. Howard on the block and the Patriots in salary cap hell, a reunion between the two is plausible.

From CBS Sports:

One other thing that makes this speculation intriguing is that Gronk's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, pointed out last year that the one scenario that might be enough to get Gronk to come out of retirement was if Brady personally called him and asked. Although Gronk downplayed that scenario in November, that was back when Brady was playing for the Patriots, who are coached by Bill Belichick, a guy who Gronk was reportedly frustrated with heading into his final season with the team.

On Tuesday afternoon, Ian Rapoport tweeted out a nugget that would make Bucs fans very happy.

And just as fast as those rumors came out, the deal was made just minutes later.
