Today in Sports History: 1972 FSU Basketball

In 1972 the UCLA Bruins had to get through a great Florida State team to win their sixth NCAA title in a row. It was an incredible match up featuring the likes of Bill Walton and Jamaal Wilkes taking on Ron King and Reggie Royals. It was the first and only time so far that FSU has been to the national championship game.

UCLA would win the game 81-76 behind 24 points and 20 rebounds from Big Bill Walton.
