Today in Sports History: Texas Western Wins '66 National Title

That game that you can watch above, was more than just a game. It was a stepping stone to equality in sports. It was on this day in 1966 when Texas Western, now UTEP, won the national championship with an all African-American starting lineup. It just so happened that they beat an all white Kentucky team to do it.

This win was monumental when it came to equality in sports and in the US.
