Zion Williamson impresses in final quarter of NBA debut

San Antonio Spurs v New Orleans Pelicans

Zion Williamson is the rookie that NBA fans wanted to see more than any others and finally on January 22nd, they got their wish. Zion made his Pelicans debut against the San Antonio Spurs. It started off...slow.

Zion's first run on the court was nothing to write home about. Williamson had a single assist on the stat line after his first time on the floor, but when the fourth quarter came, Zion showed up.

He finished with 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists and shot 4-4 from the three point line. MVP chants reigned down upon the rookie, even though the night ended with the Spurs getting the win.

This splash of greatness that he showed in the fourth quarter has sports talk radio riled up this morning and we on Open Mike were no different. We talk about Zion's play and Austin gets heated from the text line during this podcast. Check it out below!
