A lot of talk these days about Josh Heupel as a possible replacement for Matt Rhule at Baylor, but who are some other worthy candidates for the job?
Certainly there has to be a list, right? I know Heupel makes a ton of sense, and as Mike Bianchi pointed out in the Sentinel
It’s certainly no secret that Heupel’s pyrotechnic offense, Big 12 coaching experience and Texas recruiting ties make him an enticing candidate for Baylor. And, believe me, the Bears have enough money to pay off UCF and perhaps make Heupel an offer he couldn’t refuse.
So, with all of that said, here's a list of names that don't involve the theft of another UCF coach!
- Bryan Harsin, Boise State head coach
- Luke Fickell, Cincinnati
- Joe Brady, LSU passing game coordinator
- Dave Clawson, Wake Forest coach
- Willie Fritz, Tulane head coach
- Joey McGuire, Baylor associate head coach
All more than qualified, so if you're reading this, HANDS-OFF Baylor, I've given you other options.
