It's no secret the Lakers are in need of a playmaking guard. Rondo isn't exactly the Rondo he used to be, plus he can't shoot. The Lakers will likely be aggressive at the deadline given the fact that they're ripe for a championship run.
In comes DJ Augustin rumors. DJ has been a part of this Magic team since 2016 and it one of the central figures in that Magic locker room. But, everyone's got a price. It would be interesting to see what Orlando's is if the Lakers come calling.
Here's the rumored report from Heavy.com's Sean Deveney:
The Lakers have inquired about a number of potential veteran backup point guards and one potential target could come onto the trade market in the coming weeks: Orlando guardD.J. Augustin. The Lakers can’t trade a second-round pick until 2023, but the team does have rookieTalen Horton-Tucker, originally drafted by Orlando before he was traded to the Lakers, on hand.
