It's Too Early to Quit on Nick Foles

Jacksonville Jaguars v Indianapolis Colts

It was a big AFC South matchup between two teams looking to make a playoff push. Things did not go as planned for the Jaguars as they got beat badly, 33-13.

The Jags sit now at 4-6, two games behind the Colts and Texans (three technically due to the fact they do not own the tiebreaker with either team) and they are the same amount of games back in the wild card with the Texans being the final wild card team.

Looking at Nick Foles' first game back, he didn't exactly light up the stat sheet. He went 33-47 for 296 yards with 2 TDs and 1 INT. The loss was not on Foles, though. The Jags defense gave up over 260 yards on the ground and missed a lot of tackles while their own run game had only 29 yards on nine carries.

People are now quick to want to rush back to Gardner Minshew and that needs to stop.

Nick Foles has now played a little over four quarters of football. He's never been the type to put up Drew Brees type numbers but he's still a good QB and deserves more time to prove that he's worth the money the Jaguars are giving him.

Minshew Mania was fun but he was a sixth-round pick for a reason. Nick Foles has never played an entire season and deserves a chance to showcase what he can do.

After all, he was a Super Bowl MVP not too long ago.
