Stetson Alum Jacob deGrom Wins Second NL Cy Young Award in a Row

For the second year in a row, Stetson alum and NY Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom picks up the NL Cy Young Award. He finished the season 11-8 with a 2.43 ERA and a league leading 255 strikeouts. He received 29 of 30 first place votes.

He becomes the 7th person to ever repeat the Cy Young Award. He joins Randy Johnson, Max Scherzer, Tim Lincecum, Clayton Kershaw, Greg Maddox, and Sandy Koufax.

Looks like that big paycheck he gets now didn't impact his pitching arm.
