There's a lot of rumors surround the Carolina Panthers and former MVP quarterback Cam Newton. Newton, who was recently put on IR ending his season, has one year left on his contract and is set to account for $21 million against the cap next season. With Newton off the roster, they can save $19 million towards the cap next season and spend that money elsewhere.
But is that enough for the Panthers to cut ties with Newton?
Brendan Marks doesn't think so. He believes that this Panthers team is better with Cam at QB rather than Kyle Allen and Will Grier needs more time to get acclimated to the speed of the NFL.
