Thought-Provoking Daily Poll: Mikeys State College Athlete of the Year

Let's take a look at your candidates for the Mikey State College Athlete of the Year.

B.J. Taylor was the point guard out of UCF who's leadership on the court was immense as UCF not only made the NCAA Tournament, but won their first ever game in the tournament and nearly pulled off the upset over Duke in the second round. B.J. Taylor was a big reason for the success of the UCF basketball team throughout his four years at the school.

Gators QB Feleipe Franks took a gigantic step forward under Dan Mullen. After being benched the year prior, Franks came back in 2018 and lead the Gators to a 10-win season as well as a dominating win over Michigan in the Peach Bowl.

Florida State Basketball was in the midst of a five year NCAA Tournament-less streak. That streak ended when Terance Mann started 34 games during his sophomore season and lead the Seminoles to the second round of the tournament. He followed that up by helping lead FSU to the Elite 8 his junior year and then the Sweet 16 his senior season.

UCF's Greg McCrae play on the field was incredible to watch. In a backfield that saw five running backs carry the ball 29 times or more, McCrae stood out the most. He averaged at least 5.0 yards per carry in every single game he played including four games where he averaged over 11 ypc. He made timely plays, had big time runs, and provided a boost when the Knights needed it the most.

Don't forget, you can vote on all the Mikeys categories
