I do wonder where Virginia Tech would've finished in all of this after their beatdown of FSU in Tallahassee, but that game was on too late in the weekend to be part of the 4-team final bracket. UCF- The Knights picked up where they left off, scoring points at a rapid rate. It's hard to knock much of their performance, outside of some defensive lapses, but offensively, they're as good as anyone in the nation. Final score: UCF 56 UCONN 17
LSU- Sunday night gave us a showdown of 2 top 25 teams, in fact, their opponent - Miami, came in ranked 8th. I'll be curious to see where the pollsters have them ranked after the shellacking the Tigers laid on 'em in Dallas. LSU's defense made Miami look like Miami of Ohio. Final score: LSU 33 MIAMI 17
OKLAHOMA- Lane Kiffin and the FAU Owls rolled into Norman with high hopes, those hopes were quickly dashed, as they ran into one of the most talented rosters in college football. Halfway through that one, I wondered if FAU shouldn't be relegated to FCS, that's how bad it got. Final score: OU 63 FAU 14
AUBURN- The biggest matchup of the weekend was in Atlanta for a top 10 neutral site showdown between Auburn (9) and Washington (9) and for the purposes of this poll, it was the only game that was even a contest. Auburn pulled out a close one in the end. Final score: AUBURN 21 WASHINGTON 16
