As a lifelong Phins fan, I'll never forget Tony Sparano - @BrandonKravitz

RIP TONY

As a lifelong Dolphins fans, I'll never forget Tony Sparano.

10 years ago Tony helped (along with QB coach David Lee) ushered in the most entertaining era of Dolphins football I've had the pleasure of watching. The Dolphins were a flat out bad team at the time. They went 1-15 in 2007, had no QB, very little talent, and it was just a bore to watch them. Tony Sparano came in, with his Saparano's vibe and changed everything in one year. He helped implement an offense that would take the NFL by storm, give the Dolphins a personality, and most importantly - they started winning again.

The Phins went 11-5 in that first year under Sparano and I'll never forget what a joy that was to watch. Thank you Tony, you will be missed.

Tony is survived by his wife, Jeanette, his two sons; Tony and Andrew, his daughter, Ryan Leigh, and four grandchildren. Sparano was born October 7, 1961. He was 56 years old.
