Daily Poll: Are the Vegas Golden Knights disrespecting UCF Nation?

More controversy about the National Anthem?! Yes, but not the kind the NFL is dealing with, this is more centralized to UCF nation. Apparently, many UCF fans have taken issue with the fact that the Vegas Golden Knights have been copying a long standing tradition for UCF. As written in the Orlando Sentinel:

"Late in the anthem, Johnson (the Anthem performer for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals) modified his rendition of the line, “Gave proof through the night.”

Johnson didn’t sing the word “night” and fans in the arena instead shouted “Knights” in unison.

This, of course, is one of UCF’s longest running traditions and one Knight fans believe make them unique."

Is that how you feel? Do you feel like it makes you unique? Does UCF have a claim to this tradition? Or is this just something else to worry about while listening to the Star Spangled Banner?

VOTE ON THE THOUGHT-PROVOKING DAILY POLL & GOD BLESS AMERICA.
