The Jags should be careful - WR's are not plentiful in 2018

The Jaguars chose not to use their exclusive franchise tag on WR Allen Robinson...If they had, they would've owed the 5th year wide receiver just south of 16 million dollars for the 2018 season. Probably a smart financial decision given he's coming off of an injury and a disappointing 2016 season. Here's the problem, and here's where the Jags could run into trouble. They already have one of the weakest wide receiving corps in the NFL, and this year's free-agent crop is weak at best.

Here's a list of the top wide-receivers entering free-agency in 2018:

  • Sammy Watkins
  • Marqise Lee
  • Paul Richardson
  • Donte Moncrief
  • Danny Amendola
  • Eric Decker
  • Terrell Pryor

**Possibly Dez Bryant if he's cut by the Cowboys

See what I mean, it's bleak out there, and the Jags need to be careful about not addressing this position by giving Allen Robinson whatever the market says he's worth.
