Earlier this season, Ronald Acuna Jr. hit what he thought was a home run which ended up being just a long single because he was caught watching the ball instead of running. While on first, Acuna would get caught stealing, not helping the situation. Braves manager Brian Snitker ended up pulling Acuna out of the game. That was in the regular season.
Thursday night in the NLDS, Acuna again was caught watching what he thought was a home run and it end up being just a long single. To make matters worse, with Acuna on second with one out, Josh Donaldson lined out to short but Acuna was already on his way to third and it ended up being a double play for the Cardinals. The Braves went on to lose to the Cardinals in Game 1 of the NLDS 7-6 and Acuna did homer in the bottom of the ninth.
While Acuna was not taken out of the game, Snitker and some teammates, including Freddie Freeman, were not too happy with the 21-year old.
Bianchi and CV also aired their displeasure while Adam tried to defend the superstar outfielder.
