In a non-football related injury, UCF QB Darriel Mack Jr. broke his ankle. While we don't know who the starter would be or who the favorite is to start at QB for the Knights, this is a very unfortunate turn of events for the Sophomore.
Matt Murschel talked about the injury and when the Knights can expect Darriel back, "What we do know is it's a broken ankle and that basically there's no timetable for his return but he probably won't participate in training camp in the next 3-4 weeks."
The Knights have Notre Dame transfer Brandon Wimbush, redshirt freshman Quadry Jones, and true freshman Dillon Gabriel on the roster.
