Brandon's Quick Case for Cason Wallace

I think its fair to say we’re pretty excited for the NBA draft in just under a month.

We’ve made the case for certain players- Tozzi loves him some Jarace Walker and Jordan Hawkins…I am more inclined to draft Cam Whitmore and Grady Dick…but really there are a number of good options. It just seems like we discuss the same 5 or 6 names every time. So I wanted to comb through the list of top prospects and nominate someone that we are simply not talking about enough, and when it hit me, it was obvious.

Cason Wallace, combo guard out of Kentucky.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed…but everytime we sleep on a Kentucky Wildcat player, we seem to be off by a country mile. Devin Booker, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jamal Murray, Tyler Herro, Tyrese Maxey and Immanuel Quickley…all pretty good in varying degrees. John Calipari's doing something right over there in the Bluegrass State.

Wallace makes his bread on the defensive end, which we know if the toughest part of the game to instill in a player and its something that's super important to Jamahl Mosley. But he's not just a defender, he’s a 35% three-point shooter already, which is better than most who will get drafted around him, he can break guys down off the dribble. There's A LOT to like in his game.

I know this is going to sound like a psyhco-comp…but I see a lot of Jimmy Butler to his game. His competitiveness is through the roof, he's not graceful like Jimmy in his offensive game, but he's effective and he's definitely not afraid of contact.

Take a look @ his scouting profile and his highlights and tell me you don't fall in love with this guy.
