Should The NBA Ban Charges?

After witnessing Ja Morant and Giannis Antetokounmpo both leave their Game One matchups due to injury on similar plays, it prompted The Athletic's Zach Harper to write about why the NBA should ban charges, which has led to an internet debate. What would the game even look like if they really were to do away with charges? You'd have to get rid of blocking fouls too, right?

I've always thought about how underrated of a basketball play it is, to take a charge. Players that are willing to put themselves in harms way against athletic specimen going full speed..it's an art and a huge part of the game in my eyes. I will admit, the block/charge is a tough call for referees and we do witness plenty of instances that can go either way..

But just because two of my favorite players in basketball, major NBA stars who are extremely marketable for playoff ratings get injured on a similar play does not mean we should change all of the rules..Kravitz and I discuss in the podcast clip below. Plus, reaction to the games themselves!
