The Rays Finally Coughed Up Some Money

The Tampa Bay Rays and 20-year-old shortstop phenom Wander Franco have come to an agreement on a 12 year contract that guarantees him around $185 million according to Jeff Passan of ESPN. The deal is worth around a maximum of $223. The Rays finally broke out a check book but one could make the argument they got a steal of a hometown discount.
