Picks Against the Spread: Kravitz's NFL/CFB LOCKS of the Week!

Time for my Stone-Cold Locks of the week – Not where I want to be right now, sub .500 mid-way through the football season, its time to really lock in (pun intended) and win some of these bets. Especially now, so many of you out there waiting on the edge of your seats to place your Hardrock Sportsbook app wagers, I’ve got your back. 26-29 on the season, time to turn this ship around!

throw away the keys – let’s lock ‘em up!

*All spreads reflect the current line as of this morning on the HardRock Sportsbook

South Carolina (+18.5) vs Florida- I can’t trust this Florida team week to week, back to back losses to LSU (who they should’ve beat and Georgia (no shame in that) but the team just looks flat, Dan Mullen is inspiring zero confidence right now, and I mentioned this yesterday – here we have a South Carolina team that lost by 14 last year, in Gainesville, with a more talented Gator team taking the field. Now, the Gamecocks have their issues, they’ve switched QB’s, and they’re not very good, but 18.5 is simply too many points for a home team in the SEC welcoming in the average Gators. SC +18.5, lock it up.

Nebraska (+14.5) vs #5 Ohio State- This will be a tough pill to swallow because Ohio State is rolling right now, but this is more about backing Nebraska’s ability to keep games close, and then cough them up. The Cornhuskers always sellout their stadium, home field is strong in Lincoln, plus- while they hold an abysmal record of 3-6, all six losses came in one possession games. Nebraska would have wins over Michigan and Michigan State if they knew how to close out games, they don’t but they’re still a good bet @ 14.5 points. Back Frostie’s snowmen +14.5. Lock it up.

Purdue (+3.5) vs #3 Michigan State- Classic letdown spot here. The Spartans just got into the CFB Playoff, they’re riding high, and think of how topsy-turvy this season has been already in CFB, do you really think all 4 teams in the top 4 are going to walk out of this weekend with a win? No. And Michigan State looks like a prime candidate to take the fall. Last week, despite a win, MSU was outgained 552-395 and trailed 30-14 in the second half. They are skating by, I think their luck runs out. Purdue can throw and MSU’s weakness is in their secondary. Watchout for the Boilermakers @ home! Purdue +3.5. Lock it up!

Panthers (+3.5) vs Patriots- I like this game a lot as it is, I like it a whole lot more if McCaffrey returns for the Panthers. I’m just not buying a dominant Patriots team right now, if they were to beat Carolina, that’s 3 straight victories for an average football team with back to back road wins. I’m selling that all day for a rookie QB and sub-par weaponry on offense. 71% of the bets are coming in on the Pats. Red flag. Back the Panthers +3.5. Lock it up!

Raiders (-3.5) @ NYG- I’m sorry, what? The Raiders are only favored by 3.5 against an awful Giants team, count me in. The Raiders are dealing with the turmoil of losing Henry Ruggs from that horrific accident, but they’ve dealt with drama before, I’m confident they can do it again. The Raiders are coming off a bye, taking on a team that played on Monday night- short week. And I’m not concerned whatsoever that this game is in NY. The Raiders have already gone on the road to Pittsburgh and to Denver, two very tough places to play, and picked up wins. Raiders win comfortably. -3.5 feels safe, lock it up.
