Sunday Waiver Wire Targets via @BrandonKravitz

Waiver Wire Week 15:

Round 2, semi-finals for most of you, this is where legends are made. Let’s take a look @ the waiver wire and see if we can help those lineup ailments.

QB:

Obvious play- Jalen Hurts- Hard to ignore 100 rushing yards on the ground against an elite Saints defense. Throw Hurts in your lineup this week if you don’t have any other clear cut better options. (For reference: I would start him over Big Ben)

Safe play- Mitch Trubisky- I am rarely in the Trubisky camp but he has been pretty solid since taking the starting role back from Nick Foles. 24, 14, 30 in his last 3 games. If you can just avoid that 14 or less score, you’ll be happy with the output.

Upside play- Matt Stafford- Dud in his last outing against green bay, but the week before, against a pretty good Bears defense, 402 passing yards, 3 TD’s. This week, he gets a Titans team that find themselves in shootouts regularly, I love this play today if you are desperate for a QB.

RB:

Jeff Wilson- Looks like Raheem Mostert is going to play, I still think Wilson can have a role and get you 10 points if you need it. The Cowboys routinely get gashed by more than 1 RB at a time.

Lynn Bowden Jr- A lot of uncertainty around the Dolphins pass catchers and RB’s…it’s possible Gesicki plays, Parker plays, and Salvon Ahmed…it’s also possible they don’t. Bowden is an RB/WR hybrid….that is actually counted as such in ESPN formats…he’s an RB in CBS. Last week, when the dolphins were trailing to the chiefs and they needed someone to throw the ball to, while Tua’s options were dropping like flies, Bowden was there with 7 catches/82 yards. Keep an eye on him.

Rashaad Penny- More of a safety add for the Chris Carson owner or if you want to play defense against the Carson owner. Last year the 2 backs split 50/50 when on the field together.

WR:

Rashard Higgins- 21 and 18 in his last 2 games for the Browns. Mayfield keeps looking his way, I’d feel comfortable starting him @ this point as a low end WR2/flex play.

Josh Reynolds- If Robert Woods can’t go (hasn’t practiced this week) Reynolds is a sneaky good play against the God-awful Jets.

TE- Disclaimer: Injury dependant

Irv Smith- If Kyle Rudolph can’t go, Irv becomes a good play this week, Bears bottom 4 against opposing TE’s.

Adam Shaheen- If Gesicki can’t suit up for the Dolphins, Shaheen has some upside, Tua loves throwing to that TE position.

DST:

Texans- We’re looking ahead here, Houston plays Cincinnati in week 16. Get ‘em now while you can.
