At the end of a roundtable in Jacksonville, Ron DeSantis made a comment that made football fans across the state of Florida smile.
"I am going to see if we can make sure that rivalry game happens."
That is in reference to the Florida-Florida State rivalry that was cancelled thanks to the SEC's conference only schedule. When it was announced that the historic game would not be played, fans were furious. Now that the Governor is involved, will we see the rivalry game happen?
Should he have even gotten involved? Many sports fans scream for politics to stay out of sports when it comes from the players, but will those fans make an exception to bring a favored game back?
