WHAT?! Sex Gets Olympic Boxer Out of Doping Ban

Meet Virginia "Ginny" Fuchs. She is a boxer who won gold at the World Championships in 2018 and Silver at the Pan-Am Games in 2019. She was going to represent the USA in the 2020 Olympics until a failed drug test in February. When Ginny found out about this, she was in shock.

She fought the charges because the two substances that she was dinged for, were actually being taken by her boyfriend and upon more USADA testing, it was found that the levels matched the levels of someone who had ingested them via "intimate contact through unprotected sex." She is now clear of all charges.

Fuchs took to a video message to explain herself and thank the USADA for working with her to get this situation straightened out.
